A pale green variety of beryl found in both transparent and "silky" varieties.
This particular variety is not often seen in the market as most rough is heated to create aquamarine, however green beryl is a lovely gem in its own right, and with a little luck you can find beautiful specimens. Green beryl is most often found in "silky" varieties. These handsome gems contain tiny thread-like inclusions that create a soft, translucent beauty, but will not withstand heating. Green beryl is very durable and is appropriate for any setting.
