Blue Chalcedony
Occurring in an opaque to semi-translucent, slightly grey, medium toned blue, this chalcedony is valued for its translucency, purity of hue, and extraordinary wearability.
A fine carving in luscious, translucent, high quality blue chalcedony is simply sublime. Premium blue chalcedony comes from Namibia, and in the top grades will glow with a soft light. Its normal color is best described as a stormy sky-blue, but the brighter the blue, the more valued the gem. Blue chalcedony is an exceptionally durable gem and works well in any setting.
