Other varieties of tourmaline include: bi-color, watermelon, paraiba, yellow, orange, black, or brown.
Bi-color tourmalines have two colors within the same crystal that may be different hues of the same color, or entirely different colors. Watermelon tourmalines have a pink center, and a green "rind." Bi-color and watermelon varieties are normally quite included. Copper bearing paraiba tourmalines are a brilliant, vivid blue or green, often referred to as "neon" or "electric" in color, and are rare and expensive. Yellow, orange, brown, and black tourmalines are also considered rare, but are not as costly as chrome or paraiba tourmalines.
